Introduzione I
Ovviamente qualsiasi tabella, consiglio, immagine, grafico etc.,
inerente quest'argomento sar ben accetto.
Lo sport bello e fa bene, praticatelo!
Queste tracce possono aiutarvi a

Introduction I
I start by saying that Im not a physician, nor a
trainer. These hints come from some years of cycling practice, many
handbooks and technical magazines I have read, enquiries among cyclists
and collaboration with sport physicians and psychologists.
Since
we are on the Web, and this is a fashionable word, we could say that the
following pages are the cycling FAQ, or an information database
which could be useful, I hope, for the two wheels fans.
Many
thanks to those who contributed (with schedules, pictures, advices) to
this site, which would like to provide a track for best performances in
cycling.
Naturally,
every schedule, advice, pictures, graphics about this topic is very
welcome!
Sport
is beautiful and healthy, play it!
Please,
remember that any test, trial, intensive training or competition should be
made after a fitness medical test, to avoid possible risks.
and
dont forget your helmet!
Introduction II
You cannot play the cyclist. Only after many years
of sacrifice you will achieve satisfactory performances. You can overcome
the physical and psychological fatigue caused by long hours of cycling,
often in very bad weather, only by a suitable training. This is proved
without any doubt by the few seconds separating the winner by the loser.
When
you are on a climb, at your maximum physical effort, sometimes you are
outrun by cyclist showing nearly no sign of fatigue, and you truly realise
how many sacrifices you still have to make to improve.
Cyclists are
a little bit found in the cradle, however. Some physical features come
from our genes; a son of a cyclist has many more physical means, as well
as a rich patrimony of knowledge. Just ask for it.
This
is not enough, a good cyclist is the result of much training and work and
advices of skilled technicians, medical team, psychologists etc.
Remember,
only constant training and sacrifice can turn a cyclist into a good one. |
